Rustem Khamitov: «It is planned to procure one and a half norm of forage this year»

This year in Bashkortostan it is planned to procure one and a half norm of forage. This was stated by the Head of the Region Rustem Khamitov on the results of his visit to the enterprises of the Durtyuli agro-industrial complex.

«Weather conditions are not so good this year. We have about two weeks delay compared to the last year», said Rustem Khamitov. «I hope that the harvesting rates will increase in the coming week. We will monitor work in this part and demand it from municipalities. Forage is our priority. We have a plan for this year – to procure one and a half norm of forage».

As part of his working trip, the Head of the Republic got acquainted with progress of fodder harvesting in the fields of the «Rossiya» breeding farm in the village of Starobaishevo. One of the most advanced agricultural enterprises in the Dyurtyuli district specializes in breeding of pedigree cattle, as well as production and marketing of highly productive seeds of crops, leguminous crops and perennial grasses.

Rustem Khamitov talked with the management of the agro-enterprise, asked about availability of the equipment for the fodder harvesting campaign, availability of vacant land plots not involved in farming.

The sowing area of the farm is 4.6 thousand hectares, of which 1.5 thousand hectares are sown with fodder crops, mainly perennial grasses. According to the agrarians, the weather conditions affected the progress of works, but there is enough equipment and fuel. In general, the harvesting of forage is planned to be completed in reasonable amount of time.

In the village of Mamadalevo, Rustem Khamitov visited the fields of another farm – the Lenin's breeding farm. 2,350 heads of cattle, including 600 dairy cows are kept there. Every year the production of milk and livestock products increases.

Rustem Khamitov estimated the forages preparation, communicated with the machine operators, inquired about their working conditions and wages.
